On behalf of the Southwest Section Southern Chapter PGA and Ricki Rarick Junior Golf Program we would like to thank the Tucson Conquistadores for the generous donation of $5,000.00 to our junior program.

The Tucson Conquistadores, Inc. is a nonprofit corporation organized for the purpose of supporting youth amateur athletics primarily in Southern Arizona. The Conquistadores has an active membership of up to 55 business and professional men, and a total membership of 197 who represent a cross-section of the Tucson community. True to its charter, the Conquistadores remains a working organization. In addition to its professional golf activities, the group has established The Tucson Conquistadores Foundation. The Foundation's goal is to build an endowment fund that will generate guarantee funds for the future.

Congratulations to Salpointe Catholic High School senior Trevor Werbylo for winning the Michael J. Harris Core Values Award, presented annually at the Tucson City Junior Championship.

The award dedicated to Michael J. Harris, a longtime Tucson Civic leader, and philanthropist who was dedicated to the community, young people and embodied the aspiration that golf, like life, be enjoyed with proper consideration for fairness, ethics, respect, and a sense of fellowship.

The JGAA, Ricki Rarick Junior Golf Program, and the Tucson Conquistadores make the selection of the award annually. The criteria for the selection of the recipient is based on the junior golfer who best exemplifies The First Tee Nine Core Values: Honesty, Integrity, Sportsmanship, Respect, Confidence, Responsibility, Perseverance, Courtesy, and Judgement.
